Prov 31v 28

Her children rise up and call her blessed!

I have so much I want to say on this blog lately but I just never give myself the time to sit down and write. Today is a memorable day as I dropped of my son for his first day of school. Before I had any children I had ideas about being a stay at home mom and homeschooling. As it turns out that just is not the kind of mama I am. I love the kind of mother I am and get so much inspiration from the Proverbs 31 woman. I know thats just saying the obvious, this blog gets its name from it. Anyway the Proverbs 31 girl has got so much going on in her life and manages to do it all. She has fun while doing it also. One friend once told me that the Proverbs 31 woman cant be one person. The scripture is talking about different women and how each woman can do different things. For a while I had bought my friend's story and begun to think it is not possible to have so many things going on and in your life and still have your children rise up and call you blessed. My mind for a short while thought, somethings gotta give so cut down on your dream and be realistic.

My short life has taught me that God does not call us to realistic. He is a supernatural God who spoke the world into being. He is the majestic God who created us, the most complex creation to date and we are made in His image. We are replicas, can you imagine what capability the original has if the replica has created cars, aeroplanes, spaceships, you name it. So I am excited to say I am the Proverbs 31 woman and to challenge you to call out the Proverbs 31 woman inside of you. For some she is the mighty domestic goddess who creates the most awesome home for her family and home schools her children. Another proverbs 31 woman is in the boardroom in charge of billion dollar projects and a beautiful mother too. Whatever it is, may the Proverbs 31 woman rise up in you. She is strong yet tender. She is loving yet firm. She is beautiful and her children rise up and call her blessed!

Have an awesome week!

P/S: I just read this beautiful piece about a mother's struggle and thought I would share it with you. Links so well with my post above When mothers feel guilt.
