The good Samaritan
How many of us are brave enough to be the good Samaritan in this day and age. We are ever so concerned about our security. Living in a big city like I do, where you could spend a year without ever seeing, let alone saying good morning to your neighbour. The knee jerk response to a stranger hailing for a lift is to drive past and hope to God they are going to be safe but you could not for your life let them into your car. What if they are a scam hailing your car so you can stop and they point a gun at you and hijack you? I have so many times driven past people wondering what could they be doing walking in that place. Where are they going? Is this a trap? I made a decision never to stop for anyone but I pray that Holy Spirit would nudge at my heart when I need to be the good Samaritan.
